Venue Information

The John Golden Theatre is a Broadway venue in New York, known for its intimate scale and central place in the city's theatre scene. Its relatively compact setting gives productions a close-up feel, making it a distinctive choice for audiences seeking a more personal Broadway experience.

The theatre opened in 1927 and was designed by architect Herbert J. Krapp. Named for producer John Golden, it has hosted a range of stage productions over the decades. Its history reflects Broadway's changing programme, with plays and other productions bringing different audiences to the venue throughout the year.

Ticket prices and availability vary by production, performance date, seat location, and demand. Evening and weekend performances can be especially competitive for popular shows, while weekday dates may offer more choice. Compare available options before booking, and review the event's stated ticket terms carefully; availability and ticket guarantees depend on the seller and the specific listing.

Seating Information

The theatre has an intimate auditorium arranged across an orchestra level and a mezzanine. As with most Broadway houses, views and the sense of proximity vary by seat, so check the seating chart for the production before choosing.

• Orchestra: Seats on this level are closest to the stage and can provide an immediate, immersive perspective.
• Mezzanine: The elevated position offers a broader view of the stage, which can be useful for taking in the full scene and staging.

Seat selection is a matter of preference: some theatregoers prioritize closeness, while others prefer a more complete view. Confirm the exact location and any view restrictions shown for your performance when purchasing.

Parking Information

The John Golden Theatre is in Midtown Manhattan, where traffic and parking demand can be high, particularly before evening performances and on weekends. Allow extra time if travelling by car, and check current conditions and restrictions before setting out.

Parking availability and rates can change, so compare nearby facilities and confirm prices, operating hours, and walking distance directly before booking. Public transportation is another option for reaching the theatre; check current routes and service information to plan your trip.
